What we do
31Projects matches nonprofits, social enterprises, and businesses with skilled students interested in working on real-world projects. We help organizations define their needs and connect them with students through short-term projects (Consult projects) as well as crowdsourcing-style idea challenges (Challenge projects). Professors and program directors can also use the projects and challenges as a way to supplement classroom learning and help students apply their skills and knowledge to meaningful, real-world business problems.
How to get involved
Students are welcome to apply directly to projects and competitions of interest to them. However, if you would like to integrate a project or challenge into your course or curriculum, you may apply to the project as a professor on behalf of your students. To view the complete list of projects, please click on the "Get Started" button below to create an account. When completing the registration form, please indicate "Professor" as your choice for the "Program" selection. After your account is approved you will receive an email link to create your profile. Once your profile is complete you may view and apply to projects.
When applying for a project on the platform, please indicate that you are applying on behalf of your students or class. If you'd like to involve you students in a Challenge, there is no need to apply- you may have the students simply create their solutions and submit them to the Challenge on the platform.
If you have questions about participating as a university/professor, please contact us at support@31projects.com or (919) 899-9603.
